Full Day
Cusco (hotel pick-up)
Three rainbow mountains, stone forest, quieter trails, less strenuous hike
Escape the crowds and head to Palcoyo Mountain, an awe-inspiring alternative to the famous Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain. Enjoy a gentler hike through colorful mountain ridges, a stone forest, and views of Ausangate’s snowy peaks in the distance. The trail is shorter and more accessible, making it ideal for travelers who want incredible scenery without the strenuous climb.
You’ll travel from Cusco through picturesque Andean valleys, stopping in villages like Cusipata or Checacupe for breakfast and local views. Then you hike for around 45-60 minutes to reach the viewpoint over the three rainbow-colored peaks. After enjoying the panorama, the tour includes time to visit the Stone Forest before returning to Cusco via traditional lunch and scenic drives.
